Jefferson Sumo Reading Challenge!
Jefferson School has officially begun the AR challenge club! The 2nd and 3rd graders are working in teams to accomplish a reading goal together. The challenge runs from October 2nd-31st. The 2nd graders are just starting to take AR test and are working to reach a goal of 20 points. The 3rd graders have more experience with AR tests so their goal is 60 points. Once their team has reached their goal, their teacher will sumo wrestle another staff member!
We have rented the sumo suits from Games to Go and was sponsored by PTO to make this happen. Thanks for all of your support! On November 9th the entire school will be invited to the gym for the staff smackdown! Happy reading everyone!
First Washington Reading Challenge of the YEAR…..Glow in the Dark Reading!
All students are challenged to read 3 TIMES their monthly goal. Students will work individually to accomplish this. Once they have, their picture will go up on the challenge wall and they will be eligible to compete in the Glow in the Dark Dodgeball event! Staff is encouraged to participate as well! Updates will be posted weekly!
